THE QUICK ANSWER
What are eyelash extensions?
Eyelash extensions are lightweight fibers applied individually to suitable natural lashes. They add length, definition, and fullness without relying on strip lashes or daily mascara. A professional set is not one-size-fits-all: curl, length, weight, and placement should be selected for your natural lashes, eye shape, and preferred finish.
CLASSIC VS. HYBRID VS. VOLUME
Three techniques, three different finishes
The best set is the one that matches your natural lashes, routine, and comfort—not simply the fullest option. Use this comparison as a starting point; your consultation confirms the details.
| Style | Finished look | Best for | Full set |
|---|---|---|---|
| Classic | Natural, clean, mascara-like | First-time clients and subtle definition | $90 |
| Hybrid | Soft texture and flexible fullness | Clients who want more dimension | $135 |
| Volume | Full, fluffy, soft-to-bold | Clients who prefer a denser lash line | $150 |

PERSONALIZED LASH MAPPING
How to choose the right lash style
Bring inspiration, but expect your set to be adapted. A look photographed on someone else may need different lengths, curls, or placement to flatter your eyes and stay appropriate for your natural lashes.
- 01Decide how visible you want the change to be.
Choose natural, wispy, soft-glam, or fuller as your starting direction.
- 02Consider your everyday routine.
Think about makeup habits, workouts, swimming, skincare, and how often you can return for maintenance.
- 03Protect the natural lash.
Appropriate weight and length matter more than copying a dramatic photo exactly.
- 04Use the consultation.
Your lash artist can translate the result you want into a suitable curl, length, and map.

RETENTION & MAINTENANCE
How long do eyelash extensions last?
Your natural lashes grow and shed on individual cycles, so gradual extension loss is normal. Most clients book a lash refill in Katy every two to three weeks to maintain their preferred fullness. Retention varies with your lash cycle, skincare, cleansing, activity level, home care, and how gently you handle the extensions.
Refill or new full set?
A refill replaces shed extensions and removes or corrects grown-out extensions while enough of the current set remains. If too much has shed, the set is heavily grown out, or the work was applied elsewhere and cannot be safely maintained, a new full set or removal may be the better service.
After heavy sweating or swimming, cleanse the lashes as directed, pat them dry gently, and brush only when completely dry. Consistent cleansing is more helpful than avoiding water indefinitely.
DAILY AFTERCARE
A simple routine for clean, comfortable lashes
- Clean dailyUse a lash-safe cleanser and follow the instructions provided at your appointment.
- Dry gentlyPat—do not rub—and brush with a clean spoolie only after the lashes are dry.
- Keep hands offAvoid pulling, twisting, or picking at the extensions.
- Skip mechanical curlersThey may bend, snag, or pull the extensions.
- Be mindful of productsKeep heavy oils and products not designed for extensions away from the lash line.
- Remove professionallyDo not cut or pull extensions off at home.
Mascara is usually unnecessary. Waterproof mascara and difficult-to-remove eye products can make extensions harder to clean. If you want a fuller appearance, it is better to discuss a Hybrid or Volume set.
SENSITIVITIES & SAFETY
What to share before your appointment
Tell your lash artist about known allergies, previous reactions, current irritation, recent eye procedures, or relevant medical guidance before the service begins. Some people may be sensitive or allergic to adhesives or other products used during an appointment. A patch test may be discussed, but it cannot guarantee that a reaction will not occur.
Do not arrive for a lash appointment with active redness, swelling, unusual discharge, or an eye infection. Reschedule and contact an appropriate healthcare professional for medical concerns.
